2 Aug 2009 Accessible Cinema Update with Ally Woodford

This week MAA New Project Manager, Ally Woodford, brings us the latest developments in accessible cinema. In May 2009 the ‘accessible cinema’ initiative, a joint venture of MAA and the Independent Cinemas Association, and funded by the Federal Department of Health and Ageing, was launched in 12 cinemas across Australia. These cinemas were outfitted with projection equipment and headsets for captioning and audio description, making cinema accessible to people who are Deaf or hearing impaired or blind or vision impaired. In this segment, Ally talks about the roll-out of the campaign.
